cute toddler

I thought I'd enjoy today, since I'm meeting up with a couple of friends. But that wasn't what made my day. It was something totally unexpected. Something that broke the mundane life of mine today.

Lunching with Teresa at Cafe Cartel was enjoyable & nice. Always great to have a fellow dessert lover to share food with. She rushed off to work, hoping to be earlier than her supervisor, who'd in turn think she's a goody-two-shoes who only has 1hr lunch breaks, haha!!

I took a train back to meet Francis @ BoonKeng MRT for an afternoon swim. Francis was late, so I sat down & leaned against the wall. I wasn't too bothered about it, who cares right. And thats when 'The Greatest Joy' dropped by.

A grandfather was out with his little toddler grandson. Nothing outta the extraordinary. However, the next moment, this little toddler just sat about 1 metre to my left. He adopted the same position as I did, leaning against the wall, with his legs tucked to his body. He was probably about 1yr old. I wasn't all that amused then.

Then the grandpa said in Mandarin, 'You wanna sit with 'korkor' here?'
The toddler turned & looked at me, then let out kiddish laughter. Then he did this attempted run/crawl towards me. Cute sia~~~ Same expression as this kid

Nex thing I knew, there he was, right in front of me. Haha! So I tried to play with him by making faces. His response was so cute. He laughed with great amusement, & tried to play with my face, using his tiny hands, trying to hug me as well. CUTE la. haha!!

So for a few mins, I was in the corner, playing with this little toddler. Carrying him up, making faces at him. At one point, he was fiddling with my backpack which I had placed in a standing vertical position. It fell so I said, 'Hor, u dropped the bag~~'.

He turned & gave me a very innocent look, & tried to pull the bag up. By then, Francis came & I had to go. So I got up & waved goodbye, & the cute little one did the same! haha. Definitely brightened my day!

Kids are so cute at this age, full of innocence. But most of them grow up to be irritating rascals. What a waste....
